L’vovo hospitalized after suffering a stroke.
Thokozani Ndlovu, also known as L’vovo, was hospitalized after having a stroke while performing in Ndwedwe, KwaZulu-Natal.
On Saturday, December 24, his record label Derrango Records verified this.
L’vovo hospitalized after suffering a stroke.
Ndlovu had a mild stroke on December 23 while performing in Ndwedwe in KwaZulu-Natal, according to the record company.
He is reportedly in the hospital receiving medical attention and is said to be responding well.
“We kindly ask that you keep him in your prayers and we are confident that he will come out of this difficult situation even stronger,” a statement released by the record label read.
The family of L’vovo likewise requested privacy during this tough period.
Ndlovu, who was injured in a car accident earlier this year, was hospitalized for a month in the ICU at Greys Hospital.
L’vovo was engaged in a head-on accident with a vehicle near Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, according to a prior story in the magazine. He informed Isolezwe that he is relearning how to walk despite the terrible injury to his leg sustained in the vehicle accident.
“The problem is that I injured my hip, so walking has been very challenging. But doctors have inserted a pediatric hip plate to help this area to heal, what is left now is for me to walk again,” he said.
“I have started attending classes that will help me to walk and I was removed from the intensive care unit (ICU) on Wednesday [1 June]”.
The news comes just a day after Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo, another Kwaito and Gqom musician and member of Big Nuz, also experienced a mild stroke during a concert, was hospitalized, and subsequently passed away.
