Emtee Receiving Death Threats? According to reports, rapper Emtee has said that he has been getting death threats for the past two years. According to the Twitter blog MDN News, Emtee’s most recent threat was made shortly after DJ Sumbody passed away.
Emtee reportedly received SMS murder threats saying, “DJ Sumbody is dead, You are next” after DJ Sumbody passed away. according to TshisaLive
Not only that, but he has also been getting threats for the past two years. Sumbody was shot and killed together with his bodyguard in the late 2022.

Cassper also made the decision to surround himself with extra protection after Sumbody’s passing.
The rapper admitted to Zimoja that he no longer feels safe in the world since everyone is starving.
“It’s not safe, man. I have been ignorant for a very long time and DJ Sumbody’s death woke me and made me realise that we are not safe. His death really f**ked me up,” he told the blog. “I am always walking around with expensive jewellery. I can’t afford to put my life at risk and tempt people.”
“I also need to remember who I am; I am Cassper Nyovest. I am not just some normal guy who can just walk around freely. I would love to live like that, walk round the streets and not be recognised, but I am not that guy. Someone made me realise that this is not the way to go, and Sumbody’s death made me aware that I need to be safe and remember who I am,” the rapper explained.
Cassper concluded by saying, “People are hungry.”
Emtee has joined the long list of rappers who have called Nota Baloyi, and he even went so far as to wish the music executive death and declare that no one will attend his funeral.
