Gun allegedly used to kill AKA found and suspect arrested.

It is understood that a man in his 20s has been arrested. However, according to another source, the gun was for hire.

On February 10 near Florida Road in Durban, shots were fired, killing Forbes and Motsoane.

Forbes was shot and killed instantaneously as he was leaving Wish Restaurant by a blatantly oblivious gunman. Motsoane, a celebrity chef and entrepreneur, was also killed.

KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda pleaded with the media to refrain from placing undue pressure on SAPS investigations when he was contacted for comment.

Four guys were allegedly arrested in March in relation to the murder but were later freed.

The accusation against one of the men was hijacking.

The men’s attorney told the publication that the police did not have justification to detain her clients.

Advocate Annelene van den Heever said: “They allowed the narrative of my clients being linked to the AKA investigation and didn’t comment at the time.”

Van den Heever said that, in her opinion, the arrests were irregular and unlawful.
