Jub Jub FIRED from Uyajola 9/9. Jub Jub, a well-known hip hop artist and TV host from South Africa, was let go from his comfortable Uyajola 9/9 position following a protracted argument with his superiors over the derogatory language he reportedly used when addressing his female business partner.
Jub Jub FIRED from Uyajola 9/9.
According to the newspaper, the popular show’s broadcaster Moja Love fired Jub Jub a few days after he sent the company a letter from his attorney, Terrence Baloyi of Baloyi-Ntsako Attorneys, requesting payment of his January salary.
After Jub Jub cocked a snook at the channel’s demand that he publicly apologize to business partner Keabetswe Mokoena, whom he allegedly insulted with her mother’s private pa.rts and hurled other profanities at, the channel withheld Jub Jub’s January pay.
This after differences over the Moses Kotane festival in Rustenburg, in December, which they were co-organising.
Jub Jub’s dismissal was revealed by a deep throat who is close to the award-winning hip-hop artist. “Jub Jub has been shown the door, he is no longer with the channel,” said the mole.
“The CEO [Aubrey Tau] has an obligation to protect the integrity and reputation of the business.
Jub Jub is a good presenter but he is not bigger than the brand Moja Love.”
The source added that Jub Jub recently ambushed a senior traditional leader who was with Mokoena at the OR Tambo International Airport and begged him to ask Tau to offer an olive branch to him in a desperate attempt to get his job back.
“But the CEO would have none of it and made it clear that he would not reinstate him unless he issues a public apology to Mokoena,” said the source.
The source also claimed that the station had already started looking for a potential successor for Jub Jub.
Our phone calls and texts to Tau and Jub Jub, actual name Molemo Maarohanye, went unanswered.
Baloyi acknowledged receiving a notice of dismissal and said he would contest it in court.
