Kenyan man claims that his unappreciative lover dumped him after he donated a kidney to her mother.
Ediwn, who is only 23 years old, has experienced so much that it seems as though he has gone through four lifetimes.
Edwin met his girlfriend in 2020, right after he graduated from high school and began his first job as a driving instructor. She approached him for a relationship even though she was older than him, and he agreed.
“We knew each other for like two weeks before we started dating, and I remember she was four years older than me. It is a good thing when a lady admits that she loves you,” he said on Tuko Talks.
We dated for a few months and I started doing my music professionally. She did my video very well, professionally,” he added.
Only two weeks later, she informed him that her mother was ill and had been unwell for five months, according to the hip hop performer and producer. The older woman’s kidneys had failed and she had been in that condition for five months when they went to see her at the hospital, a doctor informed Ediwin. She would perish if she didn’t receive a transfusion.
“I knew I was not related to them so I was confident when I went for those tests. Doctor came, looked at me, looked at the mother and finally said, we have found a match. My girlfirend told me please do this for my mum,” he said.
“I knew my mum would never agree to it and I thought since I am an adult with an ID, I would do it. I thought, since the whole family knows me and if I do that sacrifice for them it’s like you have been given a wife for free,” he said
Edwin believed he would gain from the wealth since his girlfriend hails from a wealthy family. Before the procedure, he was given a KSh 8 million deal (R1.1 million).
“Take this KSh 2million (over R200 000) and there can never be a relationship betwen you and my daughter. I thought if i take the money the lady would see that she was doing it for the money,” he said.
“When people say love is blind I think they were referring to me. I refused the money and I took the girl,” he added
Edwin underwent surgery, spent two weeks in the hospital, and was eventually discharged.
