SAPS Allegedly Reopens Anele “Nellie” Tembe’s Case

SAPS Allegedly Reopens Anele “Nellie” Tembe’s Case. It has been two years since it was revealed that Anele “Nellie” Tembe, a native of Durban, had sadly died in Cape Town. This came after she supposedly pushed herself off a balcony while residing there with her then-fiancé, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

As the news of her sad death became known. Drama surrounded the night’s events that led to her passing away. As reported at the time:

“The Tembes also believe that AKA did not attend to Anele who was alive 20 minutes after she landed on the ground, but instead cleaned the hotel room which had blood and then went ahead to party with his friends after her passing.

These explosive details are contained in a scathing letter which was written on behalf of the family by their lawyers TM Incorporated Attorneys to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in the Western Cape after it declined to prosecute the rapper following an investigation into Anele’s death in June last year,” wrote City Press.Reportedly, Rob Stefanutto, who heard the argument between

Before the other awful outcome occurred, AKA and Tembe were together. In AKA and Tembe’s hotel room, Stefanutto acknowledged hearing a heated argument between a man and a woman.

Reportedly, “the lady, who later turned out to be Anele Tembe, was heard desperately asking the attacker, being male, to leave her alone. Moments thereafter Stefanutto heard Anele Tembe drop, he then administered CPR on her”.

Now it seems that the SAPS have found new evidence which has resulted in their latest move.

SAPS Allegedly Reopens Anele “Nellie” Tembe’s Case.

The nation has been preoccupied with identifying the assassins responsible for the sad assassination of AKA in February 2023. Even though there is CCTV footage of his final moments, it has been three months and no one has been arrested as of yet.

According to a report published by Sunday World, the SAPS has renewed the investigation into Anele. The publication shared:

“The police have opened a fresh investigation into the death of slain rapper AKA’s fiancée Anele Tembe.

Tembe, fondly known as Nelly, died after she “fell off” from the balcony of Pepper Hotel in Cape Town two years ago, after an altercation with the rapper…”

We can only hope that this signals the Tembe family’s eventual resolution and tranquility. This is because the family has been suspected of being implicated in the Durban assassination of AKA.

The family has consistently denied the accusations made in light of these allegations. Moses said that they are extremely concerned about the flurry of comments on social media accusing him and his family of allegedly killing the artist. Moses Tembe, Anele’s father, has made several statements, the most recent of which reads as follows:

“It is with grave concern that my family and I have had to endure a flurry of posts on various social media platforms that accuse me, and members of my family, of being involved in the death of Kiernan’ AKA’ Forbes,” the Durban businessman said in the statement.
